How do I use Flushing Oil Concentrate to get the best result?

flushing oil concentrate instruction best engine flushWe are often asked this very important question – “How do I use Flushing Oil Concentrate to get the very best result possible?”

Flushing Oil Concentrate is possibly the most effective and safe treatment in removing harmful and performance draining sludge, hard carbon, soot and other contaminants and deposits from oil-wetted engine components. It contains a highly concentrated selection of specific detergents and dispersants, (not abrasive and corrosive solvents) which enable lubricating oils to pick up and suspend deposits as a fine dispersion. In such a way, sludge, gum, dirt and wear metals are removed with the oil change.

Flushing Oil Concentrate is not just another harmful solvent based, off-the-shelf engine flush that you simply pour into the engine and forget about. This product is a highly concentrated, specialized treatment, designed specifically to do a tough job, a job that most other available treatments just cannot do.

How good is Flushing Oil Concentrate?

Decades of research and development have allowed Flushing Oil Concentrate to be totally effective at restoring pristine cleanliness to all internal engine components.

It is ideal for both gasoline and diesel powered engines, and when used as recommended will achieve the following results –

  • Eliminate engine sludge & hard carbon
  • Release stuck piston rings
  • Reduce smoke, blowby & oil use
  • Restore cylinder compression
  • Stop diesel engine oil going black right after an oil change.

Because of it’s highly concentrated nature, we recommend following our specific treatment instructions to get the very best result.

Flushing Oil Concentrate

The 1st, Initial Treatment, is designed for the very first oil flush of an engine. Typically the engine will have heavy sludge build up in many internal component areas throughout the entire engine. The Initial Treatment is a highly concentrated, heavy-duty application where the Flushing Oil Concentrate works hard to break down and suspend all contaminants, especially hard, baked-on carbon deposits.

The 2nd, Routine Maintenance Treatment, is designed to ensure the engine components are kept clean in subsequent, scheduled maintenance oil services, i.e. subsequent oil changes after the Initial Treatment application. This application is less concentrated because there will be much less sludge build up since the 1st Initial Treatment. It ensures all critical internal engine components remain clean, and engine destroying sludge and other contaminants are removed before they can cause serious problems.

Flushing Oil Concentrate Treatment Instructions

INITIAL TREATMENT

  1. Operate engine and bring to FULL operating temperature. This allows as many contaminants as possible to be suspended in the oil.
  2. Stop the engine and drain the engine oil while the engine is still hot.
  3. Refill the engine with new, clean oil. This new oil can be inexpensive oil, as it will only be in the engine for a short period of time.
  4. Operate the engine until it reaches operating temperature.
  5. Turn off the engine and add Flushing Oil Concentrate to the engine oil at 0.5 fluid ounces per quart of engine oil (12.5 milliliters per liter)
  6. Restart the engine and run at fast idle, stationary, for 45 minutes. For most small and medium type engines, fast idle means 1500 – 2000 RPM. For larger truck type engines (e.g. Series 60 Detroits, Cats, Macks, Cummins, etc.), run at about 1200 RPM.
  7. Stop the engine and drain the engine oil while the engine is still hot.
  8. Refill the engine with new, quality engine oil. Replace engine oil filter/s.

It is strongly recommended to NOT operate the engine normally, i.e drive etc, during the initial, highly concentrated treatment phase.  Because of the very effective action of the Flushing Oil Concentrate, there will be a lot of suspended contaminants in the engine oil, and these contaminants can cause harm to engine components if left suspended in the oil for an extended period of time.

Occasionally, for an engine with years, or decades, of sludge build up, a second, follow up concentrated flush may be required soon after the initial flush (e.g. 600 – 1200 miles). If this is necessary, follow steps 1 – 4 of the Initial Treatment instructions, then –

  1. Turn off the engine and add Flushing Oil Concentrate to the engine oil at 0.25 fluid ounces per quart of engine oil (6 milliliters per liter). This is 1/2 the rate of the Initial Treatment.
  2. Restart the engine and operate normally for between 4 – 6 hours maximum.
  3. Stop the engine and drain the engine oil while the engine is still hot.
  4. Refill the engine with new, quality engine oil. Replace engine oil filter/s.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE TREATMENT

  1. Operate engine and bring to FULL operating temperature.
  2. Turn off the engine and add Flushing Oil Concentrate to the engine oil at 0.1 fluid ounces per quart of engine oil (2.5 milliliters per liter)
  3. Restart the engine and drive normally/operate the engine for a continuous 30 -60 minutes.
  4. Stop the engine and drain the engine oil while the engine is still hot.
  5. Refill the engine with new, quality engine oil. Replace engine oil filter/s.
Flushing Oil Concentrate – Which size do I need?2020-04-29T16:43:31-06:00

Choose the most appropriate size Flushing Oil Concentrate for your particular need. Various size options are available –

Flushing Oil Concentrate is added directly to the engine oil at time of oil change.

8 ounces of Flushing Oil Concentrate treats a maximum of 16 quarts (4 gallons) of oil for the Initial/Dirty Engine concentrated flush. This is usually enough to treat cars or SUV-type vehicles.

16 ounces of Flushing Oil Concentrate treats a maximum of 32 quarts (8 gallons) of oil for the Initial/Dirty Engine concentrated flush. This is usually enough to treat small to medium trucks, RV’s and some machinery.

32 ounces of Flushing Oil Concentrate treats a maximum of 64 quarts (16 gallons) of oil for the Initial/Dirty Engine concentrated flush. This is usually enough to treat large trucks and machinery.Flushing Oil Concentrate different sizes and bottle choices

Why do I need to use “New / Clean” oil when using the Flushing Oil Concentrate for the first time?2020-05-01T19:42:29-06:00

Flushing Oil Concentrateflushing oil concentrate engine flush best is remarkably effective in dissolving and suspending contaminants in oil. As recommended, when the existing oil is brought to operating temperature and then drained, many existing contaminants are carried out of the engine with the old oil. By then adding new/clean oil to the engine, along with Flushing Oil Concentrate, it significantly increases the capacity of the oil (the carrier for the contaminants) to suspend and carry more of the sludge and carbon deposits out of the engine. Some engines have a very large accumulation of sludge to remove, consequently, the cleaner the ‘carrier’ oil is, the better the overall result. Find out more here…
